At North Island Estate Liquidation, we sell estate items in several ways — each designed to give you choice, clarity, and convenience. Whether you prefer attending estate sales, viewing online item listings, or getting email updates, we make it easy to stay informed and involved.

Estate Sales (In-Person & Open to Everyone)

Our estate sales are scheduled events that are open to everyone. These sales are usually held on weekends and run 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

Estate sales may take place in-home or at our Courtenay shop
All upcoming sales are published on our website with dates, locations, and photos
You can also find sale information on our Facebook page

If a sale is scheduled, it will be clearly posted — and everyone is welcome to attend.

Our Courtenay Office & Shop

We’re thrilled to announce that North Island Estate Liquidation & Elder Moving have officially moved into our new Courtenay office and shop! This space isn’t just an office — it’s where we store our gear, plan jobs, meet clients, conduct appraisals, and occasionally host estate sales.

We’ll be hosting our first sale at the new location on Saturday, January 24th, and it’s shaping up to be a doozy! Stay tuned for the official sale post with all the details — you won’t want to miss it.

While the office is by appointment only, any sales hosted here will be clearly advertised with dates, times, and photos, and are open to everyone.

Our Courtenay location is used for:

Client appointments (by booking only)
Some estate sales hosted at the shop

The office is not open for casual walk-ins, but when a sale is scheduled there, it will be clearly advertised with all details.

Individual Item Listings (Facebook Sales Group)

Outside of estate sales, we also offer individual items for sale in our Facebook Sales Group. These listings are typically for:

Vehicles
Jewellery & coins
Large furniture
High-value estate items

How this works:

We post individual items in our Facebook Sales Group
Interested buyers contact us directly
A deposit is required to hold the item
We arrange pickup or delivery

One email sent 3–6 days before each estate sale

Do I need Facebook to attend your estate sales?

No. All of our estate sales are public and open to everyone. Facebook is simply one way we share photos and updates. You can also check our website or sign up for email notifications to get sale details in advance.

How do I find out about upcoming estate sales?

We post all upcoming estate sales on our website and Facebook page, including dates, times, locations, and photos. Most public sales are held on weekends from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. so you can plan your visit.

What is the difference between estate sales and Facebook item listings?

Estate sales: Browse a wide variety of items in person, including furniture, collectibles, jewellery, and household goods. All of our sales are first come first serve FCFS when we open.
Facebook item listings: Feature individual or high-value items like vehicles, coins, jewellery, or large furniture that can be purchased directly by contacting us and placing a deposit.

Is your Courtenay office open to the public?

Our Courtenay office is by appointment only for meetings, consultations, or appraisals. Public estate sales at the shop are advertised in advance and open to everyone during the posted sale hours.

Can I get notified by email about upcoming estate sales?

Yes! Sign up for our email list to receive notifications 3–6 days before each sale, including dates, locations, and highlights. We do not spam — only timely sale updates.

How do I purchase an item listed online?

Items in our Facebook Sales Group can be purchased by contacting us directly. A deposit is required to hold the item, and we’ll coordinate pickup or delivery once the sale is complete.

Do you ship items for remote buyers?

Yes! We can arrange shipping for high-value or bulky items, but this is done on a case-by-case basis. Shipping must be arranged ahead of time, and the buyer is responsible for all associated costs, including packing and handling time. We’ve shipped pallets across Canada and the U.S., and are happy to discuss options for your items.
