Colby Owen, the founder of North Island Estate Liquidation, is a lifelong resident of Comox Valley. With a diverse skill set, he is not only an Accredited Appraiser (CPPAG) and experienced antique dealer, but also a red seal electrician and restoration specialist. His attention to detail and honesty have earned him a reputable standing in the community.

Colby's passion for vintage items extends beyond his professional pursuits. As an antique collector and dealer, he enjoys sourcing unique pieces and discovering their stories. He takes pleasure in researching the history and value of each item, ensuring that his clients receive accurate information and fair assessments.

Through his work with Elder Moving, Colby is known for his empathetic and compassionate approach. With a keen understanding of emotionally challenging times, Colby is committed to providing a service that is sensitive, respectful and considerate of individual circumstances.

In addition to his love for antiques, Colby also has a passion for local history and ephemera. Kayla Scheele, the visionary founder of Elder Moving & co-founder of North Island Estate Liquidation, is motivated by a dedication to honesty and integrity.  With more than a decade of experience supporting seniors, Kayla offers compassionate solutions to individuals facing the complexities of estate management.

From an early age, Kayla embraced her adventurous spirit, exploring the world through extensive travel experiences and assuming various roles, such as contributing to the design of Michael Bublé's wedding and training as a Holistic Doula. With a background in Exhibit Design and an innate talent for crafting functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces, Kayla effortlessly combines her passion for design with her unwavering commitment to assisting those in the process of moving and estate liquidation.

Kayla's firsthand understanding of the challenges associated with estate management enables her to create stress-free and seamless experiences for her clients. Going above and beyond, she handles every aspect of estate liquidation with exceptional care and meticulous attention to detail. 

Originally from Alberta, Kayla has spent the past eight years immersing herself in the vibrant beauty of Vancouver Island, forging meaningful connections and establishing herself as a trusted advocate in the industry.

Roger Langill is a kind, honest, and family-oriented individual whose passion for antique collecting, restoration, and valuations has made him an indispensable asset to the North Island Estate Liquidation team. A spiritual person with a deep appreciation for people, history and craftsmanship, Roger brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every project he undertakes. His caring nature and his strong family values make him a trusted and respected member of our team, and we are truly honored to have him as part of our organization.

Having developed a passion for classic cars from an early age. Roger grew up in a family-owned shop, he honed his mechanical skills by restoring classic cars and working on small engines under the guidance of his father, who instilled in him a strong work ethic and a deep knowledge of mechanics. Known as "Mr. Fix-It," Roger has a remarkable ability to repair and restore items that others might discard, helping us to find added value in every estate.

Roger's appreciation for antiques and hot rods began during his youth when his family traveled south each winter. During these trips, they explored historic towns, visited antique shops, thrift stores, and bookstores, igniting his lifelong fascination with vintage items. This early exposure led to an extensive expertise in antiques and collectibles, with Roger developing a keen eye for identifying valuable pieces. His knowledge plays a vital role in ensuring accurate pricing, guaranteeing that each item’s true worth is recognized.

Outside of work, Roger enjoys exploring the scenic beauty of Vancouver Island with his wife, two children, and their dog. He also dedicates time to his workshop, where he nurtures an impressive collection that includes a 1936 Ford Sedan, antique signs, petroliana, pressed tin cars, vintage advertising, and much more.
